¹ú²úÂÒÂ×’s National Geographic Traveller (UK) team saw success across the British Guild of Travel Writer (BGTW) awards and the Central American Tourism Agency (CATA), with members of the team and its freelancers taking home the top prize across multiple categories. 

The winners honoured at the BGTW Awards are: 

  • BGTW Photographer of The Year: Jeremy Flint for his portfolio,ÌýincludingÌýpublished work inÌýÌýmagazine.Ìý
  • Travel Feature of The YearÌý–ÌýEurope: Daniel StablesÌýforÌýhis article ‘’,Ìýpublished in theÌýDecember 2024 issue ofÌýNational GeographicÌýTravellerÌý(UK), which judges notedÌýfor itsÌý‘evocative,ÌýatmosphericÌýwriting’.Ìý
  • Journey Feature of the Year: Jessica VincentÌýfor her article ‘’,Ìýpublished in the US guide alongside the Jan/Feb 2025 issue ofÌýNational GeographicÌýTravellerÌý(UK). Jessica wasÌýcommendedÌýfor herÌý‘committed, sustained journalism’ and ability to combine ‘historic fact, political perspective and clear, mobile narrative’.ÌýÌýÌý
  • Travel Photo Feature of the Year: KarolinaÌýWiercigrochÌýfor her photo essay on ‘’,Ìýpublished in the June 2025 issue ofÌýNational GeographicÌýTravellerÌý(UK),ÌýwithÌýadditionalÌýrecognition forÌýitsÌý‘movement,ÌýemotionÌýand clever composition’.Ìý

Separately,ÌýFarida Zeynalova,Ìýassociate editorÌýat National Geographic Traveller (UK), wasÌýrecognisedÌýat theÌý2025ÌýCATA AwardsÌýfor the Travel Feature of the Year – Magazine (online or print)ÌýwithÌýher piece onÌý‘’.ÌýÌý

The  (MEA) scheme recognises the very best work of members in travel writing, photography, blogging and broadcasting in a series of awards judged by UK and international travel industry professionals. 

The CATA Awards 2025 honour excellence in travel storytelling and business practices that promote Central America and the Dominican Republic. The awards recognise outstanding traditional media, content creators and UK travel industry efforts promoting travel in Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
