National Geographic TravellerÌý(UK)’s former deputy editorÌýwins at theÌýTravMediaÌýAwardsÌý2026Ìý

National Geographic Traveller (UK) is celebrating success at the TravMedia Awards 2026, with a win in the Specialist Travel Writer of the Year (Destination) category for long-time freelance contributor Amelia Duggan. Amelia, former managing editor for ¹ú²úÂÒÂ× and former deputy editor for National Geographic Traveller (UK), won for her portfolio of work on Portugal. 

The awards ceremony was hosted at The Londoner hotel in London’s Leicester Square, where attendees enjoyed a black-tie gala dinner in the ballroom with the awards ceremony and an afterparty. 

The TravMedia Awards is among the industry’s most coveted benchmarks — its accolades recognising the finest journalists, content creators and PR professionals working in the travel media industry today. 

Alongside Amelia’s win, which also included work across other titles, the National Geographic Traveller (UK) and Postcards teams received five further nominations, including:
